Hong Kong stocks open higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Hang Seng Index up 1.49%, the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index up 1.5%, and the Hang Seng Tech Index up 2.07%.
Technology heavyweights are higher across the board, with Bilibili surging more than 5%, Alibaba up nearly 4%, Kuaishou up about 3%, Tencent, Meituan, JD.com and Baidu up more than 2%.
Biotech companies, software developers, insurers, casino operators, mobile phone component makers are mostly higher, while mainland securities brokers and automakers are trading lower, with Li Auto falling more than 3%.
