Jin Zhuanglong, China’s Minister of Industry and Information Technology, met German software company SAP’s CEO Christian Klein on Tuesday.
SAP has played an active role in promoting Sino-German scientific and technological exchanges and industrial cooperation, Jin said.
China’s complete industrial system, advanced information infrastructure and large size of the market will provide a favorable, environment for foreign-funded enterprises, including SAP, and China hopes that SAP will focus on high-end, intelligent and green development, explore deeper in the Chinese market, support the digital transformation of SMEs, and promote the high-quality development of manufacturing industry, he said.
Klein said that decoupling from China is unrealistic, and the company will continue to expand its R&D investment in China, deepen its cooperation with industries, and support the growth of manufacturing companies and SMEs that specialize in specialties.
