BYD delivered first batch of 10 battery electric double-deck buses to Chile

BYD Company said it has recently delivered the first batch of 10 battery electric double-deck buses to Chile and the total number of electric buses in Chile is expected to reach nearly 800 within 2023.

BYD is the first carmaker that promotes electric buses and electric double-deck buses in Chile and looking ahead, the company looks forward. to cooperate with partners to make efforts in charging infrastructures and vehicle operations to provide sustainable transport solution, said Tamara Berrios, head of BYD Chile. 

BYD Company’s battery electric bus business has covered the Latin American countries such as Chile, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador and Uruguay and on a global scale, it has expanded its business to over 400 cities in more than 70 countries.
