Chinese electric vehicle maker BYD Company said its first-half net profit is expected to reach 10.5 – 11.7 billion yuan, surging 192.05% – 225.43% from a year earlier.
The company’s new energy vehicle sales achieved strong growth despite a high base last year and its market share have increased continuously, it said.
BYD sold 253,000 units of cars in June, an increase of 88.2% from a year earlier, and its total car sales in the first half of the year rose 94.25%. In addition, the company’s car sales in the overseas market reached about 74,300 units in the first half, rising by 95.8% from a year ago.
