Cathay Pacific’ passenger volume skyrocketed 932% on year in Jun, H1 passenger volume soared 2,230%

Cathay Pacific Airways said that it carried a total of 1.5486 million passengers in June, skyrocketing 931.9% from a year earlier, revenue passenger kilometres (RPKs) surged 527.9%, passenger load factor rose by 20.7 percentage points to 87.7%, while capacity, measured in available seat kilometres (ASKs), spiked by 379.6%. 

In the first half of the year, the number of it passengers carried rocketed by 2,230% year over year, against a 1,111% increase in capacity and a 1,685% increase in RPKs, it said.

The carrier carried 111,200 tonnes of cargo in June, an increase of 6.4% from a year ago, cargo revenue tonne kilometres (RFTKs) rose 16.3%, cargo load factor fell by 6.7 percentage points to 61.7%, while capacity, measured in available cargo tonne kilometres (AFTKs), rose by 29%.. 

In the first half, the tonnage lifted by 23.8% year over year, against a 117.6% increase in capacity and an 83% increase in RFTKs.
