As of May this year, the total number of 5G base stations in China reached 2.844 million, accounting for 25.3% of the total number of mobile base stations, and fully covering administrative districts above the county level, said Wang Zhiqin, Vice President of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), a think tank under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. .

Among them, China Telecom and China Unicom have built and shared more than 1 million 5G base stations, while China Mobile and China Broadnet have built and shared more than 500,000 700MHz 5G base stations, he said.
