Electricity is a clean and efficient secondary energy source and increasing the proportion of electricity in end-use energy consumption is vital for China to promote transformation, said Xin Baoan, Chairman of State Grid Corporation.

“We have taken active steps to replace coal, oil and gas with electricity to increase the proportion of electricity in the consumption of energy. So far, the proportion of electricity in China’s end-use energy consumption has reached 27% and it will be increased further in the future,” he said.
