China’s battery-grade lithium carbonate resumed decline to hit three-month low, lithium carbonate futures fell nearly 3%

The price of battery-grade lithium carbonate fell by 2,000 yuan per tonne to 223,000 yuan per tonne on Friday after remaining unchanged for four straight days, marking a new low in more than three months, according to the Shanghai Metals Market. 

The price fell by 2,000 yuan in the recent five days and by 80,500 yuan per tonne in the recent 30 days. 

The price of battery-grade lithium hydroxide fell by 2,500 yuan per tonne to 199,000 yuan per tonne, also a new low in more than three months and sliding for the 30th consecutive days, according to the data.

The price fell by 10,000 yuan per tonne in the recent five days and by 81,000 yuan per tonne in the recent 30 days.

China’s most-traded lithium carbonate futures contract on the Guangzhou Futures Exchange, for January delivery, fell by 2.85% to close at 194,250 yuan per tonne.
