China’s bilateral trade with US fell 8.4% on year in H1, trade with Belt Road countries rose 9.8% – customs administration

China’s foreign trade volume with its largest trade partner, the ASEAN, reached 3.08 trillion yuan in the first half of the year, rising by 5.4% from a year earlier and accounting for 15.3% of China’s total foreign trade, said the General Administration of Customs.

Bilateral trade with the EU reached 2.75 trillion yuan in the period, rising by 1.9% and accounting for 13.7% of the total, it said.

China’s bilateral trade with the US reached 2.25 trillion yuan, sliding 8.4% from a year ago and accounting for 11.2% of the total, it said.

China’s foreign trade volume with countries along Belt Road grew by 9.8%, accounting for 34.3% of the total, it said.
