China’s coal output reached 380 million tonnes in June, rising 15.3% from a year earlier, accelerating by 5 percentage points from the growth in May, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
China imported 18.98 million tonnes of coal in June, slumping 33.1% from a year earlier, widening by 31 percentage points from the drop in the previous month, showed NBS data.
In the first half of the year, China’s coal output rose by 11% on year to 2.19 billion tonnes, and its coal imports fell 17.5% to 115 million tonnes, showed the data.
