Wang Wentao, China’s Minister of Commerce, hosted a roundtable meeting with 12 foreign pharmaceutical companies operating in China to understand their business operation, difficulties and suggestions, according to a statement released by the ministry.
The companies include GE Healthcare, Novo Nordisk, Bayer, Merck Sharp & Dohme, Roche, AstraZeneca, Sanofi, Takeda, Pfizer, said the ministry.
The commerce ministry has upgraded communication mechanism and established a roundtable system for foreign-funded companies through which the authorities will hold regular meetings for problem collections, listing to suggestions and responding to companies’ concerns in an effort to boost long-term and steady development of foreign-funded companies, Wang said.
