China’s fixed-asset investment grew 4% on year in Jan – May

China’s fixed-asset investment grew 4% in Jan – May from a year earlier, according to the National Bureau of Statistics, compared to the 4.7% growth for the first four months of the year.

In breakdown, fixed-asset investment in the primary sector rose slightly by 0.1% year over year in Jan – May, secondary investment grew 8.8% and the tertiary sector grew by 2%, showed the data.

In particular, fixed-asset investment in the mining sector grew by 1.5%, that in the manufacturing sector grew by 6% and that in the utilities industries surged by 27.6%, according to the NBS.
