China’s passenger car sales fell 40.8 per cent in March from a year earlier to 1.08 million units, but surged 320 per cent from the previous month, the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) said on Thursday, as activities in the world's largest auto market resume after coronavirus lockdown.

The association said that overall passenger car sales volume in April would be much higher than in March.
