China’s NEV retail sales in Sept 1 – 10 rose 40% on year, up 9% on month – industry association

China’s retail sales of new energy vehicles in the period of September 1 – 10 reached 172,000 units, surging 40% from a year earlier and up 9% from the same period in August, according to the China Passenger Car Association. 

So far this year, retail sales of NEVs reached 4.62 million units, surging 36% from a year earlier, showed the data. 

Wholesale volume of NEVs during the 10-day period reached 172,000 units, rising by 12% from a year earlier and up 13% from the same period last month, and year to date, wholesale volume of NEVs reached 5.25 million units, a rise of 37% from a year earlier, said the association.
