The booking volume for China’s domestic travel products during the upcoming National Day holiday has surged nearly six times from a year earlier, while bookings for outbound travel products has soared by more than 20 times, according to data released by Fliggy, an online travel agency.
The booking volume for domestic hotels, group tours, scenic spot tickets and car rental services has all exceeded the levels seen in the same period in 2019, said Fliggy.
The number of outbound travelers in the holiday will hit a new high this year, and although there remains half a month to go before the holiday, booking volume for international air ticket and overseas hotels have both far exceeded the level seen during the same period in 2019, it said.
