China’s passenger car sales fell 2.6% on year in Jun, up 8.7% on month

China’s retail sales of passenger cars reached 1.89 million units in June, falling 2.6% from a year earlier, but rising 8.7% from the previous month, according to the China Passenger Car Association.

In the first half of the year, retail sales of passenger cars reached 9.52 million units, rising by 2.7% from the same period last year, showed the data.

Retail sales of new energy vehicle reached 665,000 units in June, surging 25.2% from a year earlier and up 14.7% from the previous month, according to the data.

In the first half, retail sales of NEVs reached 3.086 million units, rising by 37.3% from a year earlier, showed the data.
