China’s passenger car sales so far in July rose on year, but declined from June

China’s retail sales of passenger vehicles reached about 425,000 units in the week of July 18 – 24, rising 25% from the same period last year and rising 27% from the previous week, but down 9% from the same period last month, according to the China Passenger Car Association.

Wholesale volume of passenger vehicles reached about 473,000 units in the week, surging 47% from a year earlier, rising 32% from the previous week, but down 10% from the same period last year, said the association.

In the period of July 1 – 24, retail sales of passenger vehicles reached about 1.16 million units, rising 19% from a year earlier, but down 10% from the same period last month, showed the data.

Wholesale volume of passenger cars reached 1.24 million units in the same period, rising 32% year over year, but falling 8% from a month earlier, it said.
