China’s state asset regulator held meeting to urge SOEs to conduct M&As, restructuring

The State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) held a special meeting on June 14 for central government-administered state-owned enterprises (SOEs) to improve the quality of listed companies and to promote M&As. 

The SOEs should use listed companies to carry out M&As and restructuring to help improve their core competitiveness and enhance their core functions, it said. 

Companies including Aviation Industry Corporation of China, China Resources Group and China Energy Engineering Corporation attended the conference and participated in the communication, it said.
