As the peak season for summer consumption approaches, consumer demand for holidays leisures, shopping and travel will be further released, and coupled with supportive policies, China’s consumer market is expected to maintain a stable growth in the second quarter, said the Ministry of Commerce.
The ministry will continue to improve consumption policies, strengthen interdepartmental coordination and introduce a series of measures to support the recovery and expansion of consumption, it said.
Meanwhile, it will introduce targeted measures to promote high-quality development of automobile, household supplies, brand consumption and the catering industry, it said.
The ministry will continue to hold activities to boost consumption, innovate consumption scenes, it added.
