China’s top policymakers vowed to maintain targeted economic policy in 2021, stressed anti-monopoly efforts for first time

China’s Politburo, the top decision-making body of the Communist Party, vowed to maintain the economic growth within a reasonable range in 2021 and, for the first time ever, it pledged to step up anti-monopoly efforts and rein in "disorderly capital expansion."

The Politburo said in the meeting for the party’s economic work for 2021 that "China's economic operation is gradually returning to normal, but there remain a number of uncertainties due to the coronavirus pandemic and the changing external environment, according to China's official Xinhua News Agency.
