Chinese Ambassador Xie Feng to US met US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen

Xie Feng, Chinese Ambassador to the US, met with US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen on Monday and the two sides exchanged views on China-US relations and multilateral economic and financial issues of mutual concern, according to China’s state media.

A healthy and stable China-US relationship is in the common interest of both countries and also the common expectation of the international community Xie said. 

China hopes that the two countries will meet in the halfway, remove disturbances, manage differences, strengthen dialogue and cooperation with sincerity, and push the bilateral relations back on the right track, he said.

Both sides agreed to continue to maintain communication, the report said.
