China's major ports see cargo volume picking up, with volume in some ports hitting the highest levels on record, adding to evidence that trade continues to recover from the coronavirus fallout.

Total cargo throughput in China's eight major coastal ports increased 12.1 per cent in the first ten days of July from the same period last year, boosted by strong imports of commodities including crude oil and iron ore, according to data released by the China Ports & Harbours Association.
