Households with two or more children in Guangzhou city, capital of southern China’s Guangdong province, will be eligible to borrow additional 30% on top of the maximum amount from the housing provident fund when they buy the first home, effective from June 28, according to the city’s provident fund administration. 

Under current rules, households with one contributor to the fund can borrow up to 600,000 yuan and households with two contributors to the fund can borrow up to 1 million yuan.
