Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee said that required quarantine for overseas and Taiwan arrivals will be changed to ‘3+4′, including three days’ hotel quarantine and four days of “”, relaxing from previous requirement of 7-day hotel quarantine, starting from Friday.

Inbound international travelers will be required to undergo a three-day hotel quarantine before four days of “home medical surveillance” which will allow limited movement into areas where vaccine pass checks are not mandatory.

Under the revised rules, travelers will be allowed to leave their home or hotels in the last four days, but not to places that require using the “Leave Home Safe” app residents use to show their vaccination status for entry to most public premises, such as restaurants and bars. If travellers test negative daily through rapid kits during the four days, they can take public transport, attend work and go to shopping centres.
