Hotel bookings for summer holiday surged from 2019-level – online travel agency

Online search volume for hotels and home-stays have been gradually increasing after the start of the summer break period, according to data from online travel agency Tongcheng Travel.

During the first week of the summer break, the service provided by Tongcheng Travel platform’s hotel booking platform surged by 155% from the same period in 2019.

As of July 10, cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Guangzhou and Shenzhen were the most popular in terms of hotel booking, showed Tongcheng data.
