Chinese electric vehicle maker Li Auto on Monday lowered its guidance for third-quarter deliveries, now expecting to deliver about 25,500 vehicles in the three month ending September 30, down from a previously announced guidance of 27,000 to 29,000 vehicles.

This revision is due to the disruptions to the supply chain, the company said, but added that potential demand for the company’s vehicles remains robust.

The company will continue to work closely with supply chain partners to address bottlenecks and accelerate production, it said.

Li Auto’s latest outlook means it expects to deliver 10,507 vehicles in September, as the carmaker delivered 10,422 vehicles in July and 4,571 vehicles in August. This would mean it will deliver 48% more in September than a year ago and 130% more than in August.

Li Auto officially launched the Li L9, the company’s second model after the Li ONE, on June 21.

Li Auto founder, chairman and CEO Li Xiang said on Weibo on June 4 that the Li L9 would be officially delivered in August, and the delivery volume could exceed 10,000 in September. However, on August 28, Li Auto said that there was a delay in the supply of its range extender factory in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province, resulting in a delay in the deliveries of Li L9 vehicles.
