More than half of Chinese believe home price to stay unchanged in Q3 – PBOC survey

About 15.9% of Chinese residents believe that home price will rise in the third quarter from the previous quarter, 54.2% believe home prices will stay largely unchanged, 16.5% expect home price to decline, while the remaining 13.4% feel unsure about the price, according to a survey conducted by the People’s Bank of China in the second quarter of the year.

The survey also showed that 24.5% of the residents tend to spend more in the third quarter, rising by 1.2 percentage point from the previous quarter; 58% of them tend to save more, rising by 0.1 percentage points; while 17.5% tend to invest more, down 1.3 percentage points.
