Chinese electric vehicle maker Nio’s production has been facing challenges since mid-Oct due to the latest round of Covid outbreaks and deliveries of several models have been delayed, reported Chinese tech news outlet 36Kr, citing unidentified sources.

Nio’s JAC-NIO F1 plant had originally planned for a short shutdown of production for 3 – 5 days and use parts inventory to conduct production in closed management, but the shutdown was later extended, leading to greater impact of production and car deliveries, said the report.

The carmaker’s F2 plant in Neo Park in Hefei has been under closed management and the plant’s vehicle assembly line have been suspended, according to the report.
