Several Chinese paper makers hike prices again amid rising cost

Several Chinese paper producers launched another round of price hikes recently due to rising costs, according to state run Securities Journal.

Guangdong Guanhao High-Tech Co, Xianhe Co. Ltd and Henan Jianghe Paper Co. Ltd have raised the prices of specialty paper products by 1,000 yuan per tonne, effective from August 1. 

Notable, the companies had hiked prices by as much as 1,500 yuan per tonne at the end of June. 

In the recent week, several paper companies raised prices of life paper products by 100 – 200 yuan per tonne, according to the report.
