As of January 21st, 28 of China's 31 provincial-level regions had announced growth targets for 2022 during their annual meetings of local lawmakers and political advisors.
A majority of the regions set 2022 growth targets below 7% and they pledged to actively expand effective investment, moderately front-load infrastructure investment, launch a series of campaigns to boost consumption, in particular recovery of contact consumption and cultivate new growth point for consumption . . .
