The US added two more China-based companies to a blacklist, barring their goods from entering the US, citing concerns over “forced labor”.

Battery maker Camel Group and spice and extract company Chenguang Biotech Group have been included in the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) entity list, according to US authorities.

The UFLPA, which has been in effect since June 2022, prohibits goods that are produced in Xinjiang or by entities on the UFLPA Entity List from being imported into the US, unless the importer can prove the goods were not produced using “forced labor”.

Earlier this year, Chinese companies printer manufacturer Ninestar Corporation and chemical products firm Xinjiang Zhongtai Chemical were added to the list earlier this year.
