US probing sanction evasion by some Chinese firms – US Commerce Secretary

The US is investigating the sanction evasion by some Chinese companies which are blacklisted by the Commerce Department, said the Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo.

He is actively considering adding more Chinese firms into the Entity List which restricts their exports to the US, he said.

She accentuated that the US has so far not intended to unwind the curbs on the sanctioned Chinese companies on the Entity List. Chinese companies being included in the Entity List will be forbidden to consume goods imported from the U.S..
