China’s egg prices hit a new low so far this year, lower than the same period last year, as the difference between market supply and demand widens and feed prices decline in the second quarter of the year, according to commodity consultancy Sublime China Information.

Egg prices are expected to gradually recover in the third quarter as egg supply will be limited and demand enters a peak season, it said.
