China’s March exports, imports better than expected, analysts expect more pressure in coming months

China's exports and imports for March came in better than expected. Analysts say that the impact of the epidemic on the foreign trade hasn't been fully reflected and trade data is expected to weaken further in the coming months.

In Chinese yuan terms, China's exports fell 3.5 per cent last month from a year earlier, data from the General Administration of Customs showed on Tuesday. That's significantly better than a 17.5 per cent drop expected by analysts and improved from a 15.9 per cent fall in the first two months . . .
