China’s passenger car sales fell 45% on year in Jan 1 – 27 – industry body

Retail sales of passenger vehicles in mainland China reached about 985,000 units in the period of Jan 1-27, falling 45% from a year ago and sliding 43% from the prior month, according to the China Passenger Car Association. 

Wholesale volume reached 891,000 units, sliding 50% year on year, sliding 46% from the month before, showed the data.

Retail sales of new energy passenger vehicles reached 304,000 units, slumping 43% from a month earlier and down . . .
