China’s pickup truck slid 11.1% on year in June, up 0.9% on month

China’s pickup truck sales reached about 46,000 units in June, sliding 11.1% from a year earlier, but up 0.9% from the previous month, according to the China Passenger Car Association. 

In the first half the year, China’s pickup truck reached about 257,000 units, falling by 0.7% from a year earlier, showed the data. 

Notably, overseas demand for pickup trucks has been surging, which drove growth in pickup exports, it said.
