China’s installed capacity of electric vehicle power batteries reached 24.2GWH in July, surging 114.2% from a year earlier, but down 10.5% from the previous month, said the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.
In breakdown, the installed capacity of ternary batteries reached 9.8GWh in July, accounting for 40.7% of the total, increasing 80.4% from a year earlier but down 15% from the previous month. Installed capacity of lithium-ion phosphate batteries reached 14.3GWh, accounting for 59.3% of the total, rising 147.2% from a year ago, but down 7% from the month before.
In the first seven months of the year, installed capacity of power batteries reached 134.3GWh, surging 110.6% from the same period last year, showed the data.
China’s power battery output reached 47.2GWh in July, surging 172.2% from a year earlier and up 14.4% from the previous month, said the association.
In breakdown, output of ternary batteries reached 16.6 GWh in July, accounting for 35.1% of the total, jumping 107.7% from a year earlier, but down 9.4% from the month before.
Output of lithium-ion phosphate batteries reached 30.6GWh, accounting for 64.8% of the totak, soaring 228% from a year earlier and up 33.5% from the previous month.
