Freight rates from Ningbo to East, West America declined further this week – shipping exchange

The Ningbo Containerized Freight Index (NCFI) reached 659.4 on Friday, sliding 4.2% from the previous week, according to the Ningbo Shipping Exchange.

In particular, as shipping demand to North America remained sluggish, most liner companies further cut freight rates, it said.

The freight index in the routes from Ningbo to East America reached 688.7, sliding 11.9% from the previous week, and the freight index in the routes from Ningbo to West America reached 668.9, sliding 14.6%, according to the exchange.
