Nanjing cities to provide subsidies for purchases of autos, home appliances

The city of Nanjing, capital of East China’s Jiangsu province, will provide subsidies for automobile and home appliance purchases to boost consumption.

Starting from June 6, the city will offer a one-time subsidies of 1,000 yuan per car for purchases of conventional fuel vehicles and new energy vehicles priced below 200,000 yuan; a one-time subsidy of 4,000 yuan per car for purchases of conventional vehicles priced at or above 200,000 yuan; and a one-time subsidy of 5,000 yuan per vehicle for purchases of new energy vehicles priced at or above 200,000 yuan, according to a statement released by the local government on Thursday. 

For purchases of green energy-saving home appliances and new intelligent home appliances, individual consumers can enjoy a subsidy of 8% of the invoiced price, capped at 500 yuan per item, and for purchases of multiple items, consumers can enjoy up to four subsidies, with total subsidies capped at 2,000 yuan, it said.
