Mercedes-Benz to recall 11,908 vehicles in China

Mercedes-Benz is recalling 11,908 vehicles in China, including 660 EQS electric vehicles, according to a statement posted on the website of the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) on Friday.

Effective September 1, Mercedes-Benz is recalling a total of 660 imported EQS vehicles with produced between September 3, 2021 and November 25, 2021. The threads of the traction fixing points on the front and rear bumpers of some vehicles to be recalled may not meet specifications, causing the traction fixing rings to become loose because they may not reach the depth of thread connection required for normal fixing, it said.

Mercedes-Benz will also recall11,212 imported GLE SUVs and GLS SUVs with produced between October 28, 2018 and November 8, 2021, starting August 15.
