China’s crude oil output reached 18.07 million tonnes in May, rising by 2.7% from a year earlier, picking up by 1.3 percentage points from April, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
China’s crude oil imports reached 51.44 million tonnes in May, rising by 12.3% from a year ago, compared to the 1.4% drop in April, showed the data.
In the first five months of the year, crude oil output grew 2.1% on year to 87.71 million tonnes, and crude oil imports grew 6.2% to 230.2 million tonnes, according to the NBS.
China’s oil refinery throughput rose 15.4% in May from a year earlier, picking up by 3.5 percentage points from April, and in the first five months, oil refinery throughput grew by 9.8%.
