China’s retail sales of passenger cars rose 44% on week in Dec 12 – 18 – industry body

China's retail sales of passenger cars reached 542,000 units in the week of Dec 12 - 18, rising 18% from a year earlier, up 44% from the previous week, and rising by 56% from the same period last month, according to the China Passenger Car Association.

Wholesales volume of passenger vehicles reached 479 million units in the week, falling 5% from a year earlier, up 38% from a week ago and up 27% from the same period last month, showed the data.
