Senior Chinese officials have held urgent meetings attended by business leaders and economists for opinions on how to revitalize the economy, Bloomberg News reported. 

Senior mainland officials held at least six consultations with business leaders in the past few weeks and participants described the atmosphere as abnormally tense, the report said.

Officials urged attendees to contribute ideas on how to fuel the economy, restore confidence in the private sector and reboot the real estate industry, per the report.
