China’s state-owned Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC), the manufacturer of the country’s first home-made narrow-body aircraft the C919, predicts that global air passenger turnover will grow by an average of 3.9% per year in the next 20 years and the world’s total delivery of jet aircrafts will reach 42,428 units worth a total of $6.4 trillion, according to the company’s report.
China will have 10,007 units of jetliners by 2041, including 6,896 units of single-aisle jetliners, 2,151 units of twin-aisle jetliners and 960 units of regional jetliners, according to the report.
In the next 20 years, a total of 9,284 units of aircrafts will be delivered to China market, including 6,288 units of single-aisle jetliners, 2,038 units of twin-aisle jetliners, it predicts.
